I want real competition.  The prizes should be given based on the results of the event.  There should be tight control over the scoring.
I like non-competitive events.  I don't take this too seriously. I like that everyone has an equal chance to win prizes, and that its more about fun and the community.

Way too long.  They're OK, just have fewer items
Raffle smaffle, I come to climb, I don't care if you give away anything
