We select only the best, most experienced instructors to guide you through all aspects of bouldering and top-rope climbing. From your timid first attempts to the most complex climbing techniques, The Front has the experience and knowledge to improve your climbing skills. Climbing instruction classes at The Front are an excellent choice for beginners as well as the more advanced individuals. Known for its small classes and personalized attention, The Front is the perfect place to begin or expand your climbing experience. Classes offer a non-competitive environment that is conducive to learning and expanding one's ability. Class attendance also includes full access to the aerobic and weight equipment. Enjoy just climbing instruction classes, or include them in a full workout. Either way, you'll find climbing instruction classes at The Front comfortable and inviting, yet challenging and informative. The Basics for all classesParticipants have full access to our locker rooms, showers, and to our weight and aerobic equipment. Please arrive at least 5 minutes before class is scheduled to begin. Wear comfortable clothing that allows freedom of movement. Bring your own, or we'll provide all the equipment you'll need.
4 weeks - 1 hour session per week Beginning classes require no previous experience; all fitness levels are welcome. This course is an introduction to rock climbing, you’ll be learning basic techniques in climbing and how to read and work problems. Technique Works is designed to teach you more about balance and using your feet effectively when climbing to help conserve energy and build better technique. Each week will be a review of the last week and teaching new skills to keep building on. After the 4 week course you will have a good foundation to build off of for your journey through climbing. Classes are taught in a supportive, non-competitive environment. Cost is:
Intermediate Class (4 weeks):4 weeks - 1 hour session per week The intermediate class is for those climbers looking to build upon the skills they already have and are looking for ways to get stronger. This course will teach some more advance movements and ways to train for climbing. The 4 classes will introduce a 10-week IV phase training program dealing with endurance, power, power-endurance, and recovery. You will also learn strength training using the campus board and systems board to help build contact strength, forearm, wrist and hand strength. General strengthening will also be covered as well as working opposing muscle groups to help keep the body balanced. Cost is:
